Well, we've changed things up quite a bit. Combustible duck is currently a trio. Tim needed to play out more than the other members' schedules allowed, so he has gone on to fnd a project that will let him gig more and make money doing what he loves. Tim will probably still help us out from time to time as we decide how to proceed.

The current plan is to take time collaborating on new material. The results have been promising so far. Particualrly new songs from Dan "Hope Sails In" and Rick "Sad Part of Town" are showing promise. The pace is slow and lesuirely, but it gives us time to really pay attention to songwriting, arrangement and production.

We've had fun the last few shows and realized how much we missed it. But we also realize we haven't been into the studio to record in about two years. It's about time. We'll continue to play the occasional live show while we patiently craft the best possible CD we can using the accumulated knowledge of the past four years of experimenting, writing, recording and playing.

Thanks for staying with us. We actually feel like we're hitting our stride.

During a lull in the playing schedule (nothing new there), combustible duck decided to update the web site. We don't have much new to report. But for those of you who actually check: congratulations. We love you.

If you do come out to any of the upcoming shows, you will hear new material. Really new material. Unrecorded, barely rehearsed new material. Isn't live rock fun?

After a very fruitful weekend of mixing, the six new songs are ready for mastering. We have to say, The Duck is very excited about these six new songs! You can pick up a pre-press CD of the new songs at any Combustible Duck show.

Merchandise and a new logo are coming soon too.
